"keeping the romance alive" is
successful!
All marriages need a regular dose of on
going romance to add fun, spice and
excitement to the relationship. It is not
simply enough to start out with a hot
sizzling romance, you have to find a way
to keep that romance alive as the months
and years pass.
One of the many challenges new couples
face is how to live together without
losing that special romantic spark that
brought you together in the first place.
It is all too easy to lose the role of
lover as the times passes, and when this
happens partners often start relating to
each other as they would to a friend,
rather than to a lover. Parents can begin
to feel they are not much more than
business partners, joined together to
raise the children and keep the home
running for the children.

How can you keep romance alive when
your daily schedule is full, when you are
always short on time and energy? Here are
some tips to help you keep romance in your
marriage:
Firstly, never forget that one day the
children will leave home, but your partner
will not. So who is the most important
person in your life - your partner or your
children? You need to get this straight
very early and place your priorities in
the right place.
Pay attention when your partner
mentions things he or she likes or
expresses interest in, such as a new CD, a
book, or theater, concert or sports
tickets. Be on the lookout for ideas for
birthdays, holidays, and anniversary
gifts, plus those surprise gifts to be
given for no particular reason other than
to show you care.
Offer your partner a massage - feet,,
shoulder and full-body massages. You'll
get plenty of romantic points in your
relationship bank account if you keep some
great smelling body lotion handy and take
a few minutes to massage your partner's
tired feet at the end of the work day. Men
- if you expect to be rewarded for your
efforts by sex, you won't accumulate any
points for being romantic as your partner
will just think you have an ulterior
motive when you offer a massage; do it for
the right reasons.
Giving cards and letters to your
partner can be romantic, as can emails and
phone messages that share your feelings
and passion. Handwritten letters and cards
sent through the mail are becoming a
rarity and your partner will think you're
really romantic for taking the time to
write a love letter by hand and mail
it.
